We coordinate communities of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Indonesia province to work hand-in-hand for the mission in combating human trafficking, accelerating gender equality and empowering women and girls.

Combating Human Trafficking
Prevention of human trafficking, managing crisis center and advocacy for trafficking survivors are programs to combat human trafficking in Indonesia.

b. Managing Crisis Center

c.  Advocacy for trafficking survivor
We work hand-in-hand with Religious Network, lokal and International NGOs, local government, police department, professionals, and volunteers.



Accelerating Gender Equality
We advocate for ending violence, increase awareness of the causes and consequences of violence and build capacity of women to prevent and respond to violence. We also promote the need for changing norms and behavior of men and boys, and advocate for gender equality and women’s rights.

We provide shelter for women and girls who are pregnant under difficult situation in Jakarta, Batam, and Yogyakarta. 

Shelter Villa Syalom
Shelter is located in Jakarta with capacity to accommodate 24 unwed women and girls. The shelter is managed by RGS sister and lay partners. Services include:

  • Individual Counselling
  • Group support activities
  • Psychological support
  • Skill support
  • reintegration and reunification with family members

Shelter Karya Tasih
Shelter is located in Bantul Yogyakarta with capacity to accomodate 26 unwed women and girls. The shelter is managed by RGS sister and lay partners. Services include:

  • Group support activitities
  • Skill support
  • reintegration and reunification with family members
